Plan WhatsApp broadcasts with consent and delivery controls.
A broadcast is more than selecting a template and pressing send. Consent, sender quality, delivery limits, opt-outs, and the replies that return all need an operating path. Waaru keeps the campaign and the resulting conversations in one workspace.
In one line
A WhatsApp broadcast sends an approved message template to eligible, opted-in contacts through the official Business Platform. Waaru adds audience filtering, scheduling, delivery safeguards, opt-out enforcement, and a shared inbox for replies.

The problem
A successful send can still create an operational mess.
Delivery metrics do not tell you whether consent was valid, a restriction was enforced, or a customer reply reached an owner. Those controls need to exist before the campaign is admitted, not after a number's quality declines.
A contact without a valid opt-in should not enter a marketing audience.
A workspace-wide opt-out must remain blocked across campaigns.
An ineligible sender or template quality state should fail closed.
Every reply needs to return to the same workspace and sender context.
What a Waaru broadcast actually does.
All within a few clicks. No CSV import unless you want one.
Pick a Meta-approved template (or submit a new one from the dashboard)
Choose an eligible audience using tags and contact fields
Personalise variables per recipient — name, last order, due date, room type
Schedule per-segment in the recipient's local timezone
Send rate-limited to protect WABA quality rating
Review campaign progress and delivery outcomes in the workspace
Replies return to the team inbox.
A recipient's reply is processed as an inbound WhatsApp message for the same workspace and sender. A matching published workflow can continue through configured steps; otherwise the conversation routes to the human inbox instead of receiving an invented response.
Template management — submit, approve, version.
Build and submit templates from the dashboard, track approval status, manage versions when you iterate. Approved templates are immediately available in the campaign builder. Rejected templates show Meta's rejection reason so you can fix and resubmit.
Quality rating, protected by default.
Where quality or restriction state makes a new business-initiated send ineligible, Waaru blocks admission. Broadcast workers also enforce opt-outs, idempotency, and fail-closed per-instance rate limiting. These safeguards reduce avoidable sending risk; they do not override Meta's decisions or guarantee sender quality.
Pricing — 0% markup on Meta messaging charges.
Waaru is free. Public signup is open. AI features are paid separately. Waaru adds no markup to Meta's messaging charges. Always compare provider pricing using the same country, message category, currency, and effective date.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What is a WhatsApp broadcast?
A WhatsApp broadcast is an outbound template message sent to a list of opted-in contacts via the WhatsApp Business API. The message is a Meta-approved template that can be personalised per recipient. Replies come back as normal WhatsApp messages.
How many contacts can I broadcast to at once?
Your eligible audience and delivery rate depend on the WhatsApp Business Account, sender quality, template state, consent, and Meta limits. Waaru applies its own safety and rate controls but cannot raise limits assigned by Meta.
Do I need Meta-approved templates?
Yes for marketing broadcasts. Submit your template from inside Waaru and we'll surface the approval status. Service and utility templates have different approval rules.
How are replies handled?
Replies return as inbound conversations for the same workspace and sender. A matching published workflow can continue; unmatched messages route to the human inbox.
Does Waaru mark up Meta's broadcast conversation fees?
No. Waaru adds 0% markup to Meta messaging charges. Compare the dated source pages in our pricing research because country, category, currency, and effective date all change the result.
Can I segment my audience?
Use tags and eligible contact fields to build a campaign audience. Opt-outs and applicable sending restrictions are enforced separately from audience membership.
Will broadcasts hurt my number's quality rating?
Any unwanted or poorly targeted campaign can harm quality. Waaru enforces opt-outs, quality admission checks, and per-instance rate limits, but consent quality and message relevance remain your responsibility.
How is this priced?
Broadcasts are included with free platform access. Meta messaging charges remain separate and Waaru adds no markup.
