How WhatsApp click-to-chat works
Click-to-chat is a WhatsApp feature that lets anyone start a conversation with a phone number they haven't saved. The link opens WhatsApp on mobile, or WhatsApp Web on desktop, with the chat already loaded.

- countrycode: no plus sign, no leading zero, no spaces. For India use 91; for US use 1.

What is a pre-filled WhatsApp message?
A pre-filled message is text that auto-populates the WhatsApp chat input the moment someone opens your link. The customer still has to review and tap send. Use it to preserve useful context, such as the product, booking slot, or campaign that led to the conversation.
Good pre-filled messages:
- Are short. One sentence. The user can edit before sending.
- Reference what they were looking at. "I'd like to book the Saturday slot" works. "Hi" doesn't.
- Include a code or product ID so you know exactly where they came from, for example, "Re: SKU-4421".

Before you publish the link
- Keep the message editable and avoid putting personal or payment details in the URL.
- Add a short source code when the same number is used across menus, packaging, ads, and profile links.
- Test the link on both mobile and desktop. A link click is not a sent message, so measure those events separately.
