Create and schedule a WhatsApp broadcast
Choose an approved template, build an explicit audience, fill variables, attest consent, and schedule a WhatsApp broadcast in Waaru.
Reviewed
A broadcast sends one approved template from one connected WhatsApp number to a reviewed audience. The creation flow separates template selection, audience selection, and final message values so each decision can be checked before publication.
Before you begin
- Sync the intended WhatsApp number and confirm its current quality and quota.
- Use an approved template that is available to that number.
- Prepare at least one non-empty static or dynamic segment.
- Confirm the basis on which each recipient may receive the message.
Build the broadcast
- Open Broadcasts and select New broadcast.
- In Pick a template, choose the sending number and approved template.
- In Choose audience, select one or more segments and review the estimated count and sample contacts.
- In Fill variables and schedule, map each template variable to the right contact value or fixed value.
- Choose whether to send after publication or at the available scheduled time.
- Review the resolved message and audience summary.
- Confirm the consent attestation, then save the broadcast.
When several segments are selected, contacts can match any selected segment. Waaru combines them as a union, records each selected dynamic segment revision, and removes opted-out or otherwise ineligible contacts for the sender. An empty segment does not mean all contacts.
Review before publishing
Check the sending number, template language, variable fallback behavior, audience count, schedule, and consent statement. Preview a few representative contacts when variables depend on saved profile data. If a dynamic segment changed after the draft was created, review the revision warning instead of assuming the audience updated silently.
Saving creates a draft. Publishing is a separate action and rechecks the current template, sender, quality, quota, audience, and consent conditions. A draft that was valid yesterday can be blocked today if provider state changes.
