Manage broadcast delivery and outcomes
Publish, pause, resume, cancel, clone, and retarget a WhatsApp broadcast while interpreting delivery outcomes correctly in Waaru.
Reviewed
The broadcast detail page shows its settings, selected audiences, status, delivery results, and available actions. Recipients are chosen using the saved audience definition, including the selected dynamic segment version. Waaru checks whether each contact can receive the message before sending starts. Use the detail page to confirm the outcome.
Publish a draft
Open the draft and confirm its template, number, audience, variables, schedule, and confirmation of permission to message the audience. Select Publish only when the review is complete. Waaru checks the current Meta connection, template status, sending limits, and audience before sending starts.
Pause, resume, or cancel
The available controls depend on the current state:
- Pause stops new work from entering the sending queue. Completed results stay in the record.
- Resume continues a paused broadcast after current safety checks pass.
- Cancel stops remaining work and cannot turn already accepted messages back.
Queued or in-flight provider work may finish after a pause or cancellation request. Read the resulting message states rather than assuming every recipient stopped at the same instant.
Interpret the numbers
Provider acceptance means Meta accepted the request for processing. It is not proof of delivery or reading. Later status events can move a message through sent, delivered, read, or failed. Totals can therefore change as events arrive.
Failures should be read with their scope. Contact consent, one-number restrictions, template status, number quality, quota, and temporary provider errors require different responses. Avoid retrying every failure as a new broadcast.
Clone or retarget
Cloning copies a supported campaign configuration into a new draft. Review all values because the Meta connection or template status, audience membership, and schedule may have changed.
Retargeting offers Off, Create drafts manually, and Retry automatically. A manual retarget draft needs review and separate publication. Automatic retries run only when configured attempt, interval, template, recipient and safety checks permit them. Follow manual and automatic retargeting before enabling either mode.
Next: Review contacts and consent or build an operational automation.
