Set up Waaru for your WhatsApp team

Follow the shortest path from a new Waaru workspace to a connected WhatsApp number, a confirmed conversation, and a team that has the right access.

Reviewed

Public signup is open. The platform is free. AI features are pay as you go. Meta messaging charges remain separate.

Start with the workspace and its WhatsApp number. Templates, broadcasts, the Inbox, and workflow tools rely on that connection, so connect the number before starting those tasks. You do not need to write code to follow these guides.

What you need before setup

  • A work email for your Waaru account.
  • Access to the Meta Business Portfolio that owns the WhatsApp number.
  • A clear owner for workspace administration and number connection.
  • The WhatsApp Business Account and phone number you intend to use.

If another person controls the Meta accounts, ask them to join the setup. Do not choose a different account just to get past the connection screen.

What a complete foundation looks like

The dashboard shows a connected number under Numbers. You have tested an inbound message and confirmed a reply arrived on the test account. The setup panel can then guide an eligible team member toward contacts, templates, Logic Flows, and broadcasts. Each person's sidebar reflects their role and number access, so two teammates may see different navigation.

For your own server integration, follow the Developer API quickstart after connecting the number.
